Anal fistula is most common among men, especially young and middle-aged men. It is closely related to the vigorous secretion of sebaceous glands. Purulent infection is also the most common cause of anal fistula. It requires timely surgical treatment, good daily health care, and you can learn more about dietary therapy methods. 1. Pathological causes There are two major types of anorectal abscesses: one is related to the anal glands and anal fistulas, called primary acute anal gland intermuscular fistula abscess, or simply fistula abscess, which is more common; the other is unrelated to the anal glands and anal fistulas, called acute non-anal gland non-fistula abscess, or simply non-fistula abscess, which is less common; anal fistulas mostly develop from the former. Anal fistula is mostly caused by general purulent infection, and a few are caused by specific infections, such as tuberculosis, Crohn's disease, and ulcerative colitis. Anal fistula can also be caused by secondary infection of rectal and anal canal trauma, and malignant tumors of the rectum and anal canal can also rupture into fistulas, but both are rare and are significantly different from general purulent anal fistulas. Some people speculate that the influence of sex hormones is the main cause of anal fistula. During puberty, the body's own sex hormones begin to become active, and then some sebaceous glands, especially the anal glands, begin to develop and proliferate, with the proliferation being more obvious in males than in females. Due to the vigorous secretion of the anal glands, if the anal glands are not secreted smoothly or the anal gland ducts are blocked, they are prone to infection and cause anal gland inflammation. This can explain why the incidence of anal fistula is higher in young and middle-aged men. The anal gland ducts of women are straighter and less curved than those of men, so the secretions are not easily accumulated, so the incidence of anal fistula in women is lower. As people age, the anal glands and other sebaceous glands generally atrophy, and thus anal fistulas are rare in the elderly. 2. Diet and Health Care 1. Dietary treatment for anal fistula: 1) Wash 100g each of rice and millet, put them into a pot, add appropriate amount of water and boil. When the porridge is half cooked, add 500g of soy milk, stir well and cook until done, then it is ready to eat. It is suitable for patients with deficiency, both young and old. 2) Put 6 grams of chrysanthemum, 6 grams of sugar and 3 grams of green tea leaves into a teacup and brew with boiling water. Let it simmer for a while. It will have a light and elegant fragrance, which can clear away heat and detoxify, benefit blood circulation, remove dampness and relieve swelling and pain of anal fistula. 3) Stir-fry 1 yellow eel, 100 grams of lean pork and 25 grams of astragalus, add appropriate amounts of salt, sugar and rice wine, and remove the astragalus before eating. Suitable for patients with virtual anal fistula. |
