What does HPV6 low-risk positive mean

When people are checked, they will find that they are low-risk positive for HPV6, but many people do not care about it, mainly because they are not aware of the dangers of this situation. In fact, it is mainly because there is a viral infection in their bodies. If they are not treated, their reproductive organs will be infected to a certain extent, and eventually lead to some reproductive organ diseases.

HPV, or human papillomavirus, is a general term for a group of viruses. Scientists have currently discovered more than 100 types, of which about 30 types can cause infections in the male and female genital areas. There are 13 high-risk viruses that may cause cervical cancer and are the subject of monitoring. They form a family with similar viral morphology but different DNA restriction endonuclease patterns and different antigenicity of nucleocapsid proteins. They are divided into low-risk and high-risk HPV types according to the risk of tumor occurrence. Low-risk HPV types include HPV6, 11, 42, 43, 44, etc., which often cause benign lesions such as genital warts including low-grade cervical intraepithelial lesions (CIN I). High-risk HPV types include HPV16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, 68, etc., which are related to the occurrence of cervical cancer and high-grade cervical intraepithelial lesions (CIN II/III), especially HPV16 and 18.

The most common HPV types that infect the reproductive tract are types 16, 18, 6, and 11. HPV types 6 and 11 often infect the vulva, anus, vagina and other parts of the body. They are low-risk types and are more common in women with condyloma or low-grade cervical intraepithelial lesions. They have no obvious association with invasive cervical cancer. Types 16 and 18 are high-risk types.

HPV6 refers to human papillomavirus, which is the pathogen of genital warts. Low-risk positive means that you have been infected with genital warts virus. You have type 6 of human papillomavirus, which can cause cervical cancer. Type 6 means that the probability of cervical cancer is lower!

There are many types of genital warts in clinical practice, which are divided into high-risk, low-risk and subtype infections. The virus also has a formation period and a latent period, and the degree of activity is even higher and lower. At present, many comprehensive hospitals have not made it clear about the treatment of genital warts. Instead, they only treat the formed virus, that is, the symptoms that can be seen on the surface, thus ignoring the latent virus, which leads to repeated recurrence of the disease.
