What to do if arm muscle is strained, relief method is crucial

Arm muscle strains are very common in some activities, especially for people who do not exercise regularly. They require emergency treatment and some preparation during normal exercise.

1. Mitigation methods

Pay attention to strengthening the strength and flexibility exercises of the muscles in vulnerable areas. At the same time, you should do sufficient warm-up exercises and arrange the amount of exercise reasonably to achieve the purpose of prevention.

Muscle strains sometimes occur during physical education classes, but it is not always clear what the best way to deal with a muscle strain is. The following is a brief introduction to the distinction and treatment techniques of chronic tendinitis and bursitis (two painful conditions that affect muscles). Chronic tendinitis and bursitis are two common diseases that occur between muscles and bones. Chronic tendinitis is an inflammation of the tendon. Tendons are located at the ends of muscles and connect to bones. If a tendon becomes inflamed, it can cause acute or chronic pain with movement of the muscle or joint. Bursitis is an inflammation of the bursa. A bursa is a fluid-filled lining that surrounds a joint or tendon, guiding and lubricating the muscles and joints.

The characteristics of bursitis are severe pain, which is more prominent during exercise and limited joint movement. If chronic tendinitis or bursitis is not very serious, there will be no sequelae after recovery. Depending on the severity of the injury, recovery time may be 2 to 6 weeks. Rest or proper joint movement, restorative stretching and joint rehabilitation exercises, and physical therapy are all very effective. These treatments can reduce pain, prevent scarring, and restore as much function as possible to the injured area.

Local pain, tenderness; swelling, muscle tension, stiffness, spasm; functional impairment. The pain worsens when the injured muscle is actively contracted or passively stretched; a positive muscle contraction resistance test means that the pain worsens or a rupture depression appears. Some wounded people have a tearing sensation, obvious swelling and severe subcutaneous congestion, and there is a depression when touching the local area or an abnormal bulge at one end, which may be a muscle rupture.
