Every organ in the human body is very important. At the same time, many organs seem to have no connection, but in fact they are related like teeth and lips. For example, the stomach and gallbladder seem to be two completely unrelated things, but in actual diagnosis the two are often confused, such as treating stomachache as gallbladder pain, or treating gallbladder pain as stomachache. So what are the differences between the two? How should patients distinguish whether they have stomach pain or gallbladder pain? 1 The pain locations of cholecystitis and stomachache are different, and can be distinguished from here: the middle of the stomach between the two ribs is biased to the left, that is, on the right side, which is the location of the stomach. The gallbladder is generally located in the right rib area, usually from the sixth to the eleventh rib, which is the location of the gallbladder. There is still a difference in the locations of the two. 2 Usually the pain of cholecystitis often occurs at night after a full meal. It is usually severe and persistent. Generally, there will be severe colic in the right upper abdomen and paroxysmal aggravation. The pain often radiates to the right shoulder or right back, and is often accompanied by nausea, vomiting, fever and other symptoms. Fever, body temperature usually between 38℃-39℃. At the same time, gastrointestinal symptoms such as loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension and excessive belching may also occur. 3 Patients with cholecystitis often experience digestive tract symptoms such as upper abdominal pain after eating greasy food or a full meal, while patients with stomach problems often experience upper abdominal pain when they are empty or hungry, and the pain can be relieved after eating. But sometimes the symptoms of chronic cholecystitis can be similar to stomach diseases such as chronic gastritis, or both. In clinical practice, professional doctors are often required to inquire about the medical history in detail, conduct necessary physical examinations, biliary B-ultrasound or gastroscopy, etc. 4 Although the symptoms are similar, as long as you understand the difference between the two and carefully distinguish the location of the pain when it occurs, you can still tell the difference between the two. 5. It is still difficult to distinguish between stomach pain and gallbladder pain. The pain of cholecystitis often occurs at night after a full meal. It is usually severe and continuous, and sometimes worsens in paroxysmal forms. It is mainly in the upper abdomen at the beginning and gradually transfers to the right upper abdomen. In some cases, the pain can radiate to the right shoulder and back. Stomach pain is usually abdominal pain without shoulder pain. |
