We have known since childhood that if we get sick, we must take the right medicine. Although many patients with thyroid cancer are treated through surgery, different degrees of illness require different treatment methods, so patients should make choices based on their own conditions. Let us follow the experts to understand the entire process of thyroid cancer treatment. 1. Treatment of anaplastic cancer: Anaplastic thyroid cancer has a short course and progresses rapidly. Some patients who are not suitable for surgical treatment can be diagnosed clearly. For patients with smaller lesions and suitable for surgery, radical surgery should be actively sought. 2. Treatment of medullary carcinoma: Medullary carcinoma is of moderate malignancy and often metastasizes along the lymphatic and blood vessels. Once the cervical lymph nodes metastasize, they can quickly infiltrate outside the capsule and involve surrounding tissues. Therefore, selective cervical lymph node dissection should be performed as soon as possible after diagnosis. 3. Treatment of papillary carcinoma: Papilloma is an important manifestation of thyroid cancer. It is clinically characterized by low malignancy, high cervical lymph node metastasis rate, and is more common in young and middle-aged women. Therefore, surgical treatment must take these factors into consideration. If the papillary carcinoma is confined to one gland, the affected gland and the isthmus can be completely removed, and the contralateral gland can be mostly removed at the same time. 4. Treatment of follicular adenocarcinoma: Although follicular adenocarcinoma is a low-grade malignant thyroid cancer, its main mode of metastasis is blood metastasis. Patients without clinical cervical lymph node enlargement generally do not undergo preventive neck dissection. However, patients with cervical lymph node metastasis do not necessarily have blood metastasis at the same time, so therapeutic neck dissection is still necessary. For patients with thyroid cancer, they should first ensure that they are in a cheerful mood in daily life and actively cooperate with doctors for treatment. In addition, family members and friends should also help patients adjust their daily diet, let patients eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, do appropriate physical exercise, and insist on taking patients to regular hospitals for regular checkups so that patients can better control their condition. |
