What are the symptoms of nasopharyngeal cancer?

1. Swollen cervical lymph nodes: About 80% of nasopharyngeal cancer patients have swollen cervical lymph nodes when they seek medical treatment, and 40% of them have swollen cervical lymph nodes as the first symptom. This is a metastatic lesion of nasopharyngeal cancer to the cervical lymph nodes. Sometimes, even if the nasopharyngeal cancer lesion is very small, cervical lymph node metastasis may occur. Swollen lymph nodes first appear in the upper neck, especially in the area behind the mandibular angle behind the earlobe, and then develop downwards, even reaching the upper and lower clavicle. At first, they are single and can be moved, and then they become multiple and merge into a mass. Most of them are painless.

2. If there is infection, there may be redness, swelling, heat and pain. Anti-inflammatory treatment can make it disappear and the mass shrink, but it will continue to grow. Difficulty in swallowing, coughing when swallowing, tongue inactivity and hoarseness are the result of the nasopharyngeal cancer foci invading outward and causing cranial nerve paralysis, indicating that the local lesions have reached the late stage.

3. Patients in the recovery period of nasopharyngeal carcinoma should choose foods with certain anti-cancer ingredients and the effect of softening and dispersing lumps. There are many kinds of nutritious foods. In addition to rice, wheat, millet, soybeans, etc., chicken, lamb, and beef are foods that replenish qi and can be eaten by weak cancer patients. Duck, turtle, turtle, crucian carp, and fish are foods that can nourish the spleen. Sea cucumber, jellyfish, abalone, kelp, water chestnut, and water chestnut can soften and dissipate lumps. Fungus, Hericium, shiitake mushrooms, Flammulina velutipes and other edible mushrooms have certain anti-cancer effects. In particular, the nutritional value of shiitake mushrooms exceeds that of all mushrooms. It contains 7 kinds of amino acids necessary for the human body, trace elements such as calcium, copper, iron, and manganese, and also contains a variety of sugars and enzymes, which can improve and enhance human immunity.
