How to wash blood stains off clothes

Blood stain cleaning has always been a headache for many people. During menstruation, women's underwear is stained with blood due to negligence, but they feel reluctant to throw it away, so they rack their brains and come up with various tricks to clean it, but the results are disappointing. In fact, cleaning blood stains is not as difficult as you think. Finding the right method can achieve twice the result with half the effort. Here are some tips on dealing with blood stains.

If the blood stains have just been stained, rinse it immediately with cold water or light salt water (Note: do not use hot water because the blood stains contain protein which will coagulate when exposed to heat and is not easy to dissolve), then wash it with soap or a 10% potassium iodide solution. You can use white radish juice or mashed carrots mixed with salt to remove blood stains from clothes. Wipe the stained area with 10% tartaric acid solution and then rinse with cold water. Using enzyme laundry detergent to remove blood stains is very effective. As long as you have this kind of laundry detergent at home, this is the most convenient way.

If the stain has been there for a long time, wipe the stain with 10% ammonia water or 3% hydrogen peroxide, then rinse with cold water after a while. If it is still not clean, wash it with 10-15% oxalic acid solution and finally rinse it with clean water. Whether it is a new stain or an old stain, it can be cleaned by rubbing with sulfur soap.

Older blood stains on clothes can be wiped with a mixture of 2 parts borax, 1 part 10% ammonia water, and 20 parts water. After the blood stains are removed, rinse with clean water. Old blood stains can also be washed with lemon juice and salt water.

In fact, the blood stain treatment methods introduced above are just a few of the common methods. In addition to these methods, you can also soak the blood-stained clothes in warm water (hot water is better) for more than ten minutes, then apply sulfur soap and rub them repeatedly. Soon a miracle will appear, the blood stains will disappear, and the clothes will be as clean as new.
