Is bleeding in the stool anal fissure? What other diseases could it be?

Many friends will find some blood when defecating, which is called bloody stool. There are several diseases that can cause blood in the stool, including hemorrhoids, anal fissures, enteritis, etc. It is best to go to the hospital for examination, otherwise the treatment will be rather blind. If you want to heal quickly, you need to treat the disease accordingly.

1. Hemorrhoids: Hemorrhoids cause blood in the stool due to increased intra-abdominal pressure, which causes feces to scratch the mucosal tissue of the hemorrhoids. This manifests as blood dripping during bowel movements or blood on toilet paper, and in a few cases, bleeding occurs in the form of spurts. Constipation, drinking and spicy food are the main causes of bloody stools due to hemorrhoids.

2. Anal fissure: Anal fissure bleeding is caused by cracks in the skin of the anal canal. The blood in the stool is bright red, and there will be blood stains after dripping or wiping with toilet paper, accompanied by severe pain. Eating too much spicy food, having constipated, hard and rough stools, and straining can irritate and scratch the anal skin, which will aggravate bloody stools and pain.

3. Enteritis: Enteritis with bloody stools is mostly caused by intestinal rupture due to long-term irregular diet and lifestyle. The bloody stools are mostly bright red or dark red, and the stool is watery, mixed with pus and blood, and has a foul smell. Spicy food, tobacco, and alcohol stimulation can cause the bloody stools to worsen.

4. Intestinal cancer: In the early stages of intestinal cancer, bowel habits change, and then the tumor grows. It can rupture and cause blood in the stool after stimulation. The blood is bright red or dark red and attached to the surface of the stool. The amount is not large. The stool becomes thinner and often contains foul-smelling mucus. Diarrhea and constipation occur alternately, and the patient becomes weight-loss.
