A piece of synthetic clothing is moldy

8. There are mildew spots on cotton and linen clothing

The original color can be exposed to the sun, and the colored ones should be placed in a ventilated place to dry. After the clothes are dry, you can use a brush to brush off the mildew stains. If woolen clothing is moldy, do not expose it to the sun directly. Cover the clothes with white cloth and brush off the mold stains after the clothes are dry.

9. Other clothes mildew stains

Soak and wet wash moldy clothes in aerobic laundry detergent. Aerobic washing is a type of laundry detergent that can inactivate mold and remove the musty odor. It can greatly reduce the mold stains on fibers or greatly dilute their color.

If clothes are covered with mildew and are extremely difficult to clean, you should wipe them with a hot hydrogen peroxide solution or bleach solution at 35-60 degrees Celsius, and then rinse them with water.

What to do if clothes smell musty?

1. Emergency remedy: Hang up the clothes, set the hair dryer to the cold wind setting, blow on the clothes for 10 to 15 minutes, let the strong wind take away the musty smell of the clothes, then you can safely wear it and go out.

2. Add two spoons of white vinegar and half a bag of milk to the clean water in the washing basin. Soak the clothes in the washing water for 10 minutes to allow the vinegar and milk to absorb the musty smell on the clothes. Then rinse them up, wash them down, rub them left and right, and finally rinse them with clean water. The musty smell will be gone.
