How long can you live with mid-term laryngeal cancer

How long can you live with mid-stage laryngeal cancer?

Patients with mid-stage laryngeal cancer can live for about five years if they are in good health. Patients with poor health may only live for a few months. Laryngeal cancer is a malignant tumor and needs to be treated promptly once it is discovered.

For patients with mid-stage laryngeal cancer, if the disease is discovered in a timely manner and the cancer cells have not spread or have spread to a relatively small area, and the patient is relatively young and usually in better physical condition, the diseased area can be removed through surgery in a timely manner and treated with postoperative radiotherapy. If the patient pays more attention to maintenance after surgery, they can live for about five years.

If the throat cancer is in the middle stage and is discovered late, the cancer cells are found to have spread over a large area. The patient is older and suffers from various chronic diseases. Although the disease can be removed through surgery, the patient may only live for a few months after the surgery because of the patient's own poor physical condition and psychological stress after the surgery.

In order to prevent the occurrence of laryngeal cancer, if you find a foreign body sensation in your throat and difficulty swallowing, you need to go to the hospital for a laryngoscopy and receive symptomatic treatment in time. You usually need to maintain a light diet, avoid spicy food, and avoid smoking and drinking.
