Because of the special nature of their work and the fact that they often cook at home, many people often make fire, burn fires or set off firecrackers, all of which may cause burns. Burns can be divided into several types, mild, severe and urgent. While the patient is conscious, the burned part must be rinsed with cold water first, and the burned part must be soaked in cold water to reduce the burning and pain. For more serious cases, you need to rinse the burned area in cold water first, and then go to the hospital for treatment as soon as possible after rinsing for a while. If the burned area is covered with clothes, the clothes will stick directly to the skin and completely adhere to the skin and mucous membrane. At this time, do not tear them off forcibly. You must use surgery to slowly remove the clothes. Minor burn treatment (1) Rinse with cold water or soak the burned area in cold water until the pain and burning sensation subsides. Cold compresses can be used on areas that are not suitable for soaking to relieve pain and inhibit the progression of injuries. (2) Clothes worn when burned should be rinsed with cold water and cut off with scissors. After rinsing with clean water, wipe dry, and apply various burn ointments (commercially available) locally without bandaging. (3) Do not squeeze the blisters. When the blisters are too large, you can use a sewing needle (burned with fire for a few seconds or disinfected with 60-degree white wine or 75% alcohol) to puncture the blisters and slowly release the blister fluid, but be careful not to cut off the epidermis. (4) After rinsing and drying the wound, apply burn ointment. There is no need to bandage or cover with a clean cloth. More serious burns (1 ) Rescue the patient and get him away from the fire scene as quickly and safely as possible. (2) Rinse or soak the burned area with cold water to cool the skin. You can use a hose to flush or soak a clean sheet in cold water for cold compress. (3) Clear foreign objects from the respiratory tract and keep the airway open; burns in the respiratory tract can easily lead to suffocation, so be highly vigilant. If suffocation or respiratory arrest occurs, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation immediately. (4) Properly protect the wound: cover the wound with clean gauze, sheets, or clothes, or wrap it and secure it with clothespins. Try not to break the blisters to protect the epidermis. (5) Send to hospital for further treatment as soon as possible. Strong acid burns Wipe it off with a cloth first, and then rinse with water after a small amount of concentrated sulfuric acid remains. Alkali burns Immediately rinse repeatedly with plenty of water for at least 20 minutes; or use the acid-base neutralization method and clean with vinegar. In case of quicklime burns, first remove the quicklime on the skin and then rinse with plenty of clean water. Do not rinse directly with water, as quicklime will generate a lot of heat when it comes into contact with water and burn the skin. Precautions (1) Never give plain water to a thirsty patient. Instead, give him an appropriate amount of sugar or salt water. (2) Do not apply mercurochrome, gentian violet, disinfectant ointment or even soy sauce on the burn wound to avoid covering up the extent of the burn. (3) When transporting a patient, the movements should be gentle and steady, and the patient's condition should be observed at all times. If the patient stops breathing or has a cardiac arrest during transportation, emergency treatment should be provided on the spot. |
