The newborn is breathing heavily and breathing redly

For parents, any abnormalities in their children's bodies are of great concern. Especially for newborns, because their organs are not fully developed, once they encounter some diseases, it is likely to cause irreparable damage. Some parents often encounter their newborns breathing heavily and making red sounds. What is the reason for this? We will introduce it below. We also hope that when problems arise, parents can take their children to the hospital for treatment in time.

Some diseases affect the baby's health. Many babies have wheezing sounds when breathing. When facing this situation, many parents are also worried, so let's analyze the reasons for you below.

The breathing of a newborn baby will be faster, maybe about forty times per minute, and one inhalation and exhalation is counted as one breath. The baby makes this kind of sound mostly due to the underdeveloped throat. Supplement the baby with cod liver oil after one month, feed water regularly, and if the baby has a stuffy nose, apply a hot towel to the nose, or squeeze a few drops of breast milk to soften the nasal mucus to relieve the stuffy nose. Let the baby sleep on his side, it will get better naturally as he grows up.

Manifestations of upper respiratory tract infection in children of different ages

1. Infants under three months old: mild or no fever. The symptoms caused by nasal obstruction and nasal congestion are more prominent. Such as crying and restlessness, breathing with open mouth, difficulty sucking, refusing milk, sometimes accompanied by vomiting and diarrhea.

2. Symptoms in infants and young children:

(1) The systemic viral manifestations are severe, with a sudden high fever of 39.5-40℃ at the beginning of the disease, which lasts for 1-2 days, or even several days in some cases. Some patients have high fever and convulsions;

(2) Symptoms such as nasal congestion, runny nose, cough or sore throat are usually more severe;

(3) Often accompanied by digestive tract manifestations such as anorexia, vomiting, diarrhea or constipation;

(4) Physical examination revealed no abnormal signs other than pharyngeal congestion.

After analyzing the above factors, we can know that the baby's heavy breathing and wheezing sound are often normal manifestations of newborn breathing. However, if it is caused by nasal congestion, you should pay attention to taking effective measures to help the baby deal with it, and in daily life, you should also pay attention to effectively prevent the baby from catching a cold.
