Farting is a common physiological phenomenon, and it is also a phenomenon caused by abnormal pressure in the body. However, the specific manifestations of the spleen are also different. For example, some people have the problem of farting too much, while others have the problem of holding back their farts. No matter which problem it is, it can indicate that the human body is not so healthy. So, what are the causes of frequent and muffled farts? 1. Causes of farts Most farts are created by E. coli and other bacteria in your intestines. These bacteria eat the food fermenting in your body and then fart together in microscopic form; the air you swallow and the alkaline secretions in your stomach also have a certain influence on your farts. On average, a fart is made up of about 59% nitrogen, 21% hydrogen, 9% carbon dioxide, 7% methane, and 4% oxygen—all of which are odorless. But less than 1 percent is made up of trace amounts of other chemicals - such as ammonia and skatole - that give off an unbearable odor that can be detected at just one part of air in 100 million. Farts are usually mixed with hydrogen sulfide, which comes mostly from mucus and gives them a rotten-egg smell. You should eat food that is easy to digest and absorb, with less residue, so that you won't produce excess gas. Farts are produced because some of the food we eat is not broken down. The undigested parts, including fiber and sugars, become food for E. coli. When E. coli have a full meal, they release gas, which accumulates in the body and creates a pressure. When the pressure is too great, it will be expelled from the body and form a fart. 2. Causes of excessive farts The amount of farts is related to people’s diet. Some people like to eat onions, ginger, raw garlic, potatoes, sweets, beans and pasta. Since these foods contain matrices that can produce a large amount of hydrogen, carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide and other gases, they often produce a lot of waste gas after eating and fart continuously. The amount of farts is also related to the strength of a person's digestive function. When you have indigestion, intestinal bacteria ferment quickly, easily producing gas and causing you to fart. A scientist found that a person farts about 14 times a day. Every day, each person releases about 500 ml of waste gas. Although farts smell bad, they are a normal physiological need and are good for human health. It is not good for a person's health if he does not fart all day long. People who never fart all year round are very likely to have gastrointestinal problems. Drinking a glass of yogurt every day can help change the bacteria in your gastrointestinal tract. Eating less protein-rich foods will reduce the odor. 3. Reasons for farting If the food you eat contains a lot of sulfur-containing compounds, such as eggs and beef, one of the amino acids is called tryptophan (SYSTEIN), which contains an SH group. After metabolism, hydrogen sulfide is produced, which is the smell we smell from rotten eggs. Then, the farts you let out will be very smelly (stinky farts). Because hydrogen sulfide can relax the anal muscles, the fart will come out by itself, so smelly farts are not loud (hidden farts). On the other hand, if the food you eat contains very little sulfur (protein), such as vegetables, there will be very little hydrogen sulfide in your farts, so the farts will not be so smelly, but will be very loud (loud farts). |
