What medicine should I take for appendicitis

I believe everyone should be familiar with appendicitis. Everyone should have known about it. It is a disease that occurs in our human body. It is not serious and will be fine as long as it is treated in time. However, its course of disease is generally more acute. You can take medicine to temporarily relieve the onset of appendicitis, but many people do not know what medicine to take after an appendicitis attack. So what medicine should you take for appendicitis?

Appendicitis is an inflammatory change caused by multiple factors. It is a common surgical disease, most common in young people, and more common in males than in females. Acute appendicitis is relatively common clinically and can occur in women of all ages and during pregnancy. Chronic appendicitis is less common.

Treatment: 1. Acute appendicitis: (1) Non-surgical treatment can be treated with antibiotics. When the diagnosis of acute appendicitis is clear and there are surgical indications, but the patient's general condition or objective conditions do not allow it, non-surgical treatment can be adopted first to delay surgery. If acute appendicitis is combined with localized peritonitis and an inflammatory mass is formed, non-surgical treatment should also be used to allow the inflammatory mass to be absorbed before considering elective appendectomy. The patient should rest in bed, fast, and be given intravenous infusion of water, electrolytes, and calories.

(2) Surgical treatment In principle, acute appendicitis should be treated with appendectomy, except for the mucosal edema type which can be cured by conservative treatment.

2. Chronic appendicitis: Surgical treatment is the only effective method, but one should be particularly cautious when deciding to perform an appendectomy. After chronic appendicitis is diagnosed, the treatment should be surgery in principle, especially for patients with a history of acute attacks, who should undergo surgery in a timely manner.

If it is mild appendicitis, it can be treated with medication, injection of antibiotics, etc. If the condition is more serious, surgery is necessary. It is recommended that you go to the hospital for examination in time. If it is confirmed to be appendicitis, you should receive treatment as soon as possible to avoid delaying the disease.

Chronic appendicitis is caused by appendicitis that is not treated surgically in time. You can continue to use metronidazole and amoxicillin for treatment. Abdominal pain is a manifestation of inflammation. Do not eat irritating foods and pay attention to rest.
