Where should I go to the hospital for a teratoma checkup

Where should I go to the hospital for a teratoma checkup? Many people feel very confused after contracting a disease, especially when they have a tumor disease and don't know which hospital to go to. In fact, people can choose to go to the oncology department of a tertiary hospital. In fact, it can be said that any regular hospital can conduct an examination. It is recommended that after discovering that you have a disease, it is most important to go to the hospital for a checkup in time to nip the disease in the bud.

Ovarian teratoma should be clinically differentiated from pelvic inflammatory tumors, endometriosis, uterine subserosal myoma, corpus luteum rupture, appendicitis and other diseases. Ovarian teratoma can be initially diagnosed by ultrasound imaging.

1. Ultrasound examination. Ultrasound examination has a high diagnostic rate. During the examination, a unilateral ovarian cystic solid mass is usually seen, and the typical sonogram has dough sign, wall nodule sign, chaotic structure sign, fat-fluid stratification sign or waterfall sign.

2. Serological examination: Serological examination may show a slight increase in CA199, AFP, etc.

3. Cytological diagnosis. Ovarian tumors with ascites can be diagnosed by ascites puncture. In some ovarian tumors, estrogen secretion, especially in postmenopausal smears, can assist in diagnosis.

4. X-ray examination. Teeth, bones and transparent shadows can be seen on the plain film of the abdomen of mature teratoma. Calcification foci can be seen on the X-ray film of papillary cystadenoma. Intestinal angiography can exclude intestinal tumors and help understand the location of the mass. Hysterosalpingography is also helpful in identifying the source of pelvic masses.

5. Laparoscopic examination: Under direct endoscope viewing, early diagnosis can be made, biopsy can be performed, the nature of the tumor and the extent of infiltration can be determined, staging can be assisted, and the effect of chemotherapy can be observed.

Summary: The cause of ovarian teratoma is unknown, and there is no effective prevention method so far. Therefore, the key to preventing this disease is to do regular pelvic examinations to achieve early diagnosis and early treatment. In particular, if you find abnormal symptoms in your body, you need to go to a regular hospital for examination in time.
