No matter what disease a patient has, what they care about most is how to treat it and whether it can be cured. This is especially true for patients with bile duct cancer. Because the location of the cancer is special, it is difficult to treat and has a poor prognosis. But it is very important that we should not give up the confidence of cure no matter what. Let's learn how to judge whether bile duct cancer can be cured. After diagnosis and treatment, clinical recovery can be defined as the disappearance of original symptoms and tumors. According to clinical practice and follow-up observation, if there is no recurrence of cancer after 5 years of treatment, it is possible to be permanently cured. Because only a few percent of these patients will have problems in the future. Whether bile duct cancer can be cured depends on whether it is diagnosed in time, clinical type, specific pathological characteristics and whether appropriate treatment methods are taken in time. Choosing the right treatment method is of great clinical significance for the treatment of bile duct cancer patients. Data show that scientific symptomatic treatment methods can increase the 3-year survival rate of patients with early and middle-stage bile duct cancer from 22% to 76%. Only early detection and early treatment can achieve satisfactory treatment results. Literature reports that the survival time of upper, middle and lower bile duct cancers were (8.75±6.31), (10.31±8.01) and (14.48±12.95) months, respectively. The survival time of upper bile duct cancer was the shortest, while that of lower bile duct cancer was the longest. The survival time of invasive, poorly differentiated bile duct cancer with lymph node metastasis and liver metastasis was significantly shortened, indicating a poor prognosis. The prognosis of extrahepatic bile duct cancer that was papillary, moderately or highly differentiated, without lymph node metastasis and liver metastasis was relatively good. When comparing the prognosis of different treatment methods, surgical resection was the best, significantly better than simple jaundice reduction surgery. Therefore, for patients with extrahepatic bile duct cancer who are eligible, radical resection should be performed as early as possible. Although surgical resection can achieve short-term therapeutic effects, the long-term effects are still not ideal, and the local recurrence rate is very high. Therefore, new breakthroughs and improvements are needed. However, from the actual case reports, if the treatment is effective, patients with bile duct cancer who have been treated with Chinese herbal medicine generally rarely experience the side effects of Western medicine treatment. There are already cases of bile duct cancer being cured by Chinese medicine treatment. Therefore, when facing patients with bile duct cancer, oncologists recommend that they adopt the correct treatment method and never lose confidence. |
