The incidence of endometrial cancer in women is nearly 200,000, and the cause is related to 8 major factors

Endometrial cancer, as the name implies, refers to a malignant tumor that occurs in the endometrium, which is common in perimenopausal and postmenopausal women. Endometrial cancer is a very common female tumor, with an incidence of nearly 200,000 cases per year, and the mortality rate ranks third among female malignant tumors. Many female friends who suffer from this disease come to the doctor very late, resulting in missing the best time for treatment, and the prognosis is often not ideal. Today, I will take you to understand the cause of endometrial cancer so that you can take precautions, detect it in time, and treat it early to ensure your own health.

There are 8 major factors that cause endometrial cancer

1. Menstrual disorders

For women with menstrual disorders, such as long or short menstrual cycles, too much or too little menstrual flow, delayed menstruation, or early menstruation, the probability of such women suffering from endometrial cancer is three times that of women with normal menstruation. Most of the menstrual disorders in women are due to ovarian ovulation disorders, which are usually accompanied by abnormal secretion of estrogen and progesterone levels.

2. Regular use of estrogen

If women eat a lot of foods rich in estrogen, such as royal jelly, for a long time, or frequently use cosmetics or health products containing a lot of estrogen, or take estrogen-containing drugs at will, they are likely to increase their risk of endometrial cancer. The risk of disease is closely related to factors such as the amount and duration of estrogen use.

3. Obesity, hypertension, and diabetes

These three factors are often associated with the onset of endometrial cancer and are also known as the endometrial cancer triad. For women with obesity, high blood pressure, and diabetes, the risk of developing endometrial cancer is much higher than that of normal women.

4. Early menarche or late menopause

If menstruation comes too early, such as before the age of 12, or if menopause is delayed, such as after the age of 50, it is easy for women to increase their menstrual period. These unfavorable factors will increase the risk of endometrial cancer.

5. Gynecological diseases

For some female friends with gynecological diseases, such as polycystic ovary syndrome, ovarian tumors and other gynecological diseases, it is easy to cause abnormal hormone levels in female friends' bodies, causing estrogen to stimulate the endometrium for a long time, which can easily increase the risk of endometrial cancer.

6. No pregnancy or childbirth

Women who have never given birth or have never been pregnant have several times higher risk of developing endometrial cancer than women who have given birth.

7. Unhealthy lifestyle

There is a certain correlation between unhealthy lifestyles such as drinking and smoking and the occurrence of endometrial cancer.

8. Genetic factors

About 20% of patients with endometrial cancer have a family history.
