What is the golden rescue time

What is the golden rescue time

In fact, many diseases in our lives are very dangerous. A little carelessness or delayed rescue may cause the patient to lose his life. The golden time for rescue is different for different diseases. Today we will introduce to you the golden rescue time for some common diseases. We also hope that everyone can have a certain understanding and receive timely treatment when encountering diseases.

●Cardiac arrest: Golden rescue time is 4 minutes

The success rate of cardiopulmonary resuscitation within 4 minutes of cardiac arrest can reach 50%; if it exceeds this time, the hope of survival is very slim.

●Severe trauma: Golden rescue time is 1 hour

If patients with severe trauma receive effective treatment within 1 hour after injury, the mortality rate can be controlled at 10%; if they receive effective treatment 8 hours after injury, the mortality rate will be as high as over 75%.

●Acute myocardial infarction: golden rescue time is 2 hours

When an acute myocardial infarction occurs, if the blocked artery is opened within 1 hour, the mortality rate is only 3.5%. If it exceeds 2 hours, the mortality rate rises to 5.6%. If it exceeds 4 hours, the mortality rate rises to 10.3%.

●Acute stroke: Golden rescue time is 4.5 hours

About 75% of strokes are ischemic strokes. When the blood vessels in the brain are blocked, 1.9 million nerve cells die every minute. Patients or their families should call 120 as soon as they find symptoms of suspected ischemic stroke. If thrombolytic therapy can be received promptly within 4.5 hours after onset of the disease, the risk of disability can be significantly reduced and more patients' lives can be saved.
