Are fibroids dangerous?

Are fibroids dangerous?

Fibroid patients are still common in daily life, and are usually discovered during physical examinations at work. So are fibroids harmful? How should we prevent the occurrence of fibroids? Let us explain it in detail below, hoping it will be helpful to everyone.

Fibroids are often found under the skin, grow slowly, are generally small, have clear edges, smooth surfaces, are hard in texture, and can be pushed. If mixed with other components, they become fibromyomas, fibroadenomas, fibrolipomas, etc. Fibroids, especially desmoids in the abdominal wall muscles, can become malignant and should be completely removed as soon as possible. Fibromatosis is a fibrous tissue tumor rich in collagen that originates from muscles, aponeurosis, and fascia. Pathological formation is benign or low-grade malignancy. However, the tumor has no capsule, grows invasively, and has obvious malignant biological behavior, that is, stubborn and recurring many times, but rarely metastasizes to distant places. The recurrence rate is 25-57%. The recurrence time is mostly 1 month to 1 year after surgery, and can even reach more than 10 years, so this type of tumor is also called invasive fibromatosis. Multiple recurrences can cause the lesions to involve a wider range of areas, and uncontrollable growth will occur, invading important organs and endangering life.

The cause of fibroids may be excessive hormone secretion. Pay attention to nutritional intake, maintain good sleep and mentality, observe changes in your body, and go to the hospital for examination in time if you find anything unusual.

Rehabilitation guidance: Surgery should be performed as soon as possible if the tumor is not removed early.

Dear patients with fibroids, please pay more attention to them and be sure to be informed that you have fibroids. I hope everyone can take it seriously and treat it positively.
