Is a low-density nodule cancerous? Pay attention to these points

It is not necessarily liver cancer. Low-density masses in the left and right lobes of the liver may indicate that something has grown inside the liver. Possible causes include liver cysts, liver abscesses, hemangiomas and liver cancer.

In the first case, the possibility of peptic ulcer is greater, which can be confirmed by gastroscopy. It is recommended to take rabeprazole, magnesium aluminum carbonate, and mosapride for treatment. If the effect is not good, seek medical attention in time. If the liver function is normal, no treatment is needed. Pay attention to regular monitoring of liver function, hepatitis B five items, and hepatitis B virus load. Pay attention to quitting smoking and drinking, and avoid eating too greasy food.
The second possibility is liver cyst (usually a benign tumor). A magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) should be performed for further examination to rule out space-occupying lesions. Generally speaking, it is not a big problem and there is no need to worry too much.
There are also some cases, such as focal nodular hyperplasia of the liver. Focal nodular hyperplasia of the liver is a rare benign liver disease. The substantial part of the lesion is mainly composed of normal hepatocytes, Kupffer cells, blood vessels and bile ducts. It is more common in young and middle-aged women. Most patients have no clinical symptoms. Most of them are accidental diseases. When the lesions are large, upper abdominal discomfort or mass may occur. Spontaneous rupture is rare.
If this is the case, surgical treatment is not required. If the lump is large or there are compression symptoms, surgical treatment can be considered. It is recommended that you observe the development and changes of the lump regularly, pay attention to rest, keep warm, and exercise appropriately during this period.
Finally, if the density is low and a lump appears, then it may be liver cancer. Generally speaking, low-density nodules are not necessarily cancer, because it is just one of many indicators, and the final result still needs to be confirmed through systematic examination.
