Cervical cancer is the most common gynecological malignancy. Its occurrence not only seriously threatens the patient's physical health, but also endangers the patient's life safety. In recent years, the incidence of cervical cancer has tended to be younger. China is a country with a high incidence of cervical cancer, and the number of new cases of cervical cancer each year accounts for one-third of the total number of new cases in the world. The impact of smoking on cervical cancer in women A recent survey report published in Norway shows that women who smoke have a 50% higher chance of developing cervical cancer or malignant tumors than non-smokers. The survey lasted for 9 years and involved more than 6,000 women. The study found that women who smoke have a higher chance of developing cancer, especially those who smoke 15 or more cigarettes a day and have smoked for more than 10 years, have an 80% higher chance of developing cervical cancer than non-smoking women. What are the causes of cervical cancer? 1. Sexual confusion factors Those who start sexual life before the age of 15 or have more than 6 sexual partners have a 10-fold increased risk of cervical cancer. Male sexual promiscuity also increases the risk of disease in their spouse. 2. Fertility factors The earlier the first childbirth, the higher the incidence of cervical cancer. Unmarried and nulliparous women have a very low chance of developing cervical cancer, and the incidence of cervical cancer is also higher in women who have married multiple times. Multiple births and poor perinatal maintenance and delivery processes will also increase the incidence of cervical cancer. 3. Virus factors Persistent infection with high-risk HPV is the main risk factor for cervical cancer, and more than 90% of cervical cancers are accompanied by high-risk HPV infection. 4. Genetic factors Cervical cancer is related to heredity. If women in their childbearing period are stimulated by certain physical or chemical factors for a long time in their daily life, their reproductive cells will be deformed, and their offspring will be prone to cancer after birth. 5. Obesity Obese women are more likely to develop cervical cancer. This is because obese women have lower immunity and studies have shown that obese people tend to receive fewer physical examinations and cervical cancer screening, so precancerous lesions cannot be detected in the early stages and treated early. |
