In this case, the first thing to consider is urethritis. If you have had sexual intercourse, it is possible that urethritis and vaginitis exist at the same time. If you are not sure, it is best to go to the hospital for a detailed examination.

Urethritis is a common disease, more common in women. Clinically, it is divided into acute, chronic, nonspecific urethritis and gonococcal urethritis. The latter two have similar clinical manifestations and must be differentiated based on medical history and bacteriological examination. Gonorrhea, chlamydia and mycoplasma that cause urethritis are among the pathogens that cause infertility. Because the symptoms of urethritis caused by Chlamydia and Mycoplasma are not obvious or even asymptomatic, many people mistakenly believe that there is no STD if there are no symptoms, which delays the examination and treatment.

Common causes of urethritis are as follows:

1. Urethral injury: Urethral mucosal abrasions caused by urethral instrument examination can destroy the defensive function of the urethral mucosa and lead to bacterial infection.

2. Foreign objects in the urethra: Foreign objects placed from the outside or stones in the urethra, etc., can cause urinary tract infection if left there for a long time.

3. Urethral obstruction: such as stenosis of the foreskin, stenosis of the external urethral orifice, urethral stenosis, posterior urethral valve, urethral tumor, female hymen umbrella, fusion of hymen at the urethral orifice, etc., due to poor urination, urine accumulates in the urethra, which may lead to secondary urethral infection.

4. Inflammation of adjacent organs: such as prostatitis, seminal vesiculitis, vaginitis or cervicitis, which can spread to the urethra, which is often a stubborn lesion of chronic posterior urethritis.

5. Often related to sexual life: Unclean sexual life can easily cause urinary tract infection.

What are the symptoms of urethritis:

1. Abnormal urination:

Common urination abnormalities caused by urinary tract infection include frequent urination, urgency, and pain when urinating. Sometimes, urinary incontinence and urinary retention may also occur. Chronic renal failure caused by chronic pyelonephritis is often accompanied by polyuria in the early stages, and oliguria or anuria in the later stages.

2. Low back pain:

The most common symptom clinically is low back pain, and kidney and perirenal diseases are one of the main causes of low back pain. When the renal capsule, renal pelvis, and ureter are irritated or the tension increases, it may cause pain in the lower back. Generally, lower urinary tract infection will not cause lower back pain.

3. Abnormal urine:

Urinary tract infection can cause abnormal changes in urine, the most common of which are bacteriuria, pyuria, hematuria and pneumaturia.
