The difference between distilled water and purified water

Every day, we need to replenish 2500 ml of water for the body. It can be said that water is one of the essential substances for life. But as we all know, with the development of industry, water pollution has begun to seriously affect our drinking water sources. At this time, we will buy some purified water or mineral water. So, do you know what the main difference is between distilled water and purified water?

Drinking Water - Drinking water is just that: water used for drinking. It is safe for human consumption and comes from municipal sources. Besides the usual and safe additions to any tap water like fluoride.

Distilled Water - Distilled water is a type of purified water. Its water goes through a rigorous filtration process to remove not only contaminants but also any natural minerals. This water is best used for small appliances - such as kettles or steam irons, because if you use it you won't have the mineral buildup that often occurs when using tap water. While it may seem counterintuitive, this type of water is not necessarily the best choice for human consumption, as all water is full of natural, often beneficial minerals.

Purified Water - Purified water is water that comes from any source but has been purified to remove any chemicals or contaminants. Types of purification include distillation, deionization, reverse osmosis and carbon filtration. Like distilled water, it has its pros and cons, with the pro being that potentially harmful chemicals are taken out, and the con being that beneficial minerals are also taken out.

Spring Water – This is what you often find in bottled water. It comes from underground sources and may or may not be processed and purified. While spring water sounds more appealing (like many others, I imagine mine coming from a rushing spring at the base of a tall, snow-capped mountain), it's not necessarily the best drinking water if you have other options.
