Can congenital myopia be treated with surgery?

More and more primary school students have started wearing glasses. Myopia has become a very serious problem. In addition to myopia caused by acquired factors, congenital myopia is also common. Some children's myopia can be restored through correction, but congenital myopia is difficult to correct. So, can congenital myopia be corrected through surgery? Laser treatment for myopia has become a common method in recent years and has a certain degree of safety.

How to treat congenital myopia? Let me answer you. This situation is not uncommon. Some are hereditary, and some are formed during maternal development. Therefore, vision problems are usually discovered after the child is two to three years old. Therefore, I personally think that it is better to discover and treat children with congenital myopia as early as possible. However, when to discover it is a very important issue. Because children are young and cannot express themselves, and people are not careful enough, there are many cases where children’s illnesses are not discovered.

Steps/Methods:

1. With the development of technology today, the number of myopic people is increasing. The advent of electronic products such as computers, televisions, tablets, mobile phones, etc. has brought you convenient life while also bringing relative troubles. Children nowadays are already under heavy academic pressure. They are busy with endless homework every day, and yet they still take a little time out occasionally to look at the computer or play with their mobile phones. How can the eyes be good then?

2. There are many factors that lead to myopia, both congenital and acquired. We can’t say anything about what is innate. After all, we have no choice; we are born with it. What about acquired forms? Incorrect sitting posture, incorrect writing posture, or long-term visual fatigue (this includes a series of behaviors such as long-term writing, reading, playing games, watching computers, playing with mobile phones, etc.) are all key factors in the formation of myopia.

3. Regarding treatment, there are basically two methods. When the child is still young, conservative treatment is adopted and the child is fitted with a pair of small glasses. Of course, the prerequisite is that the degree of the glasses must be suitable for the child. Some parents fit their children with glasses with a larger degree in order to make their children see more clearly, which is completely harmful to the children. When the child is older, laser surgery can be done.

Note:

Actually, when it comes to eye precautions, everyone can name a lot. So I want to ask, how many of you really protect your eyes as they are said? I think most people would answer no. Whether you have eye disease or not, you should pay attention to give your eyes proper rest. When working for a long time, remember to stop and look into the distance for ten minutes every hour.
