Can a microwave oven dry tea leaves?

Tea is very popular among everyone, but the tea we usually drink is packaged in supermarkets. This kind of tea has low nutritional value and contains preservatives. The best way is to pick the tea leaves yourself, but the freshly picked tea leaves have a lot of water content and must be dried before you can drink them. Microwave ovens can dry tea leaves. Microwave ovens are the best tool for drying tea leaves. Not only are they easy to operate, but they also save time, so you can quickly drink the fragrant tea.

The raw material for tea is the tender buds on the tea tree, and one bud and one leaf must be picked as the raw material. Every leaf and bud that can be picked. It is said that there are regulations on the size of leaves and the length of buds. I asked the tea farmers and they explained them one by one, but I still don’t understand. However, my wife participated in the picking with great interest. So I picked a handful of fresh tea leaves.

These young leaves cannot be used to make tea, they must be fried. After I came back, I searched on Baidu and found out that the frying of green tea requires processes such as withering, rolling, kneading, and drying. It is hand-fried in an iron pan heated to nearly 200 degrees, using complex techniques of shaking, frying, and kneading. The techniques must be light and heavy, fast and slow. The temperature rise and fall of the iron pan and the time to maintain each temperature section also need to be accurately controlled. This is not something I can learn. Considering that tea making is mainly about dehydration and drying, the shape of homemade tea leaves does not matter. So I thought of the function of microwave oven.

Place the young buds on a flat porcelain plate, a small amount at a time, and put the plate into a microwave oven with more accurate timing, using the highest heat setting; heat for 30 seconds before taking it out. You can now see a lot of water and steam in the plate. Stir the tea leaves with your hands to let the water evaporate while it's hot; put the plate back into the microwave and heat for 30 seconds, repeat the above process; repeat this four times. Each time you shake and mix the tea leaves with your hands, it is best to add a rubbing motion to make the tea leaves roll into balls. After four times of this, the leaves will be very dry. Depending on the moisture content of the young leaves, you can add one or two more steps. Don't put too many young leaves on the plate each time, otherwise it will be difficult to shake, mix and knead them. Finally, because the tea leaves have dried and shrunk, their volume has become much smaller, so they can be gathered together for the final heating and drying.
