What causes cerebellar atrophy?

Many people do not understand cerebellar atrophy. In fact, there is not a single cause of cerebellar atrophy, such as common psychological factors and other pathological factors. Overwork, illness caused by overwork, or the gradual degeneration of human physiological functions with aging may all have an impact on it.

1. Psychological factors. Many elderly people used to be the pillars of the country, old revolutionaries who worked hard and made great contributions, and they have been in leadership positions all their lives. However, time is uncontrollable, and once they retire, they are bound to feel a little uncomfortable. You used to listen to him, but now you have to listen to others, and you just can't accept it. Another type of person is the head of the family, who has been in charge of the family for decades. Suddenly losing control finds it difficult to change his mindset. Factors such as psychological suppression and abnormal ideological development have accelerated the aging of brain nerve cells, making him stubbornly stick to his old ways of thinking. It can be seen from this that psychological factors can easily cause cerebral atrophy.

2. Pathological factors. As people get older, their bodies and various parts of their bodies also age relatively. They have worked hard all their lives, overworked, and developed illnesses, which are all common phenomena. Many people inevitably suffer from chronic diseases such as arteriosclerosis, cerebral embolism, cerebral hemorrhage, diabetes, hypertension, etc. to varying degrees. A large number of clinical case studies have shown that these diseases are the culprits of brain atrophy and dementia, and these chronic diseases cannot be cured for a long time and become increasingly serious. Some elderly people are stubborn and believe they are not sick as long as they can walk. They refuse advice and treatment, causing their condition to worsen. It will eventually lead to degenerative changes in the cerebral arteries, ischemia, hypoxia, degeneration and necrosis of brain nerve cells, resulting in brain atrophy and dementia. This is one of the factors that cause brain atrophy.

3. In addition to the above two factors, the last factor that causes brain atrophy is physiological factors. As we age, the physiological functions of various parts of the human body gradually deteriorate, especially the cardiovascular and cerebrovascular systems (large and small arteries), where atherosclerosis occurs and microcirculation is obstructed, leading to insufficient blood and oxygen supply to the brain, degeneration and necrosis of brain nerve cells, and decreased function. Then there will be memory loss, insomnia, irritability, lack of energy, indifference, slow reaction, stubbornness, commonly known as "old stubbornness". Once the functions of the human body age, it is easy to be entangled by diseases.
