The most common type of lymphoma is malignant, which is common among young people and poses a great threat to life. So whether lymphoma can be cured is the most concerning issue for patients. Timely adoption of scientific treatments, such as chemotherapy and bone marrow transplantation, can increase the chance of cure. (1) Can malignant lymphoma be cured? Malignant lymphoma is a type of systemic disease that is closely related to the body's immune function. It is different from other solid malignant tumors and blood tumors. Currently, comprehensive treatment measures are advocated, that is, according to different tumors, different pathological types, different stages of the disease and development trends, different behavioral states of the body and important organ functions, various existing treatment methods are used in a planned and reasonable manner to maximize the protection of the body, maximize the killing of tumor cells, and achieve the purpose of improving the cure rate and improving the quality of life. Lymphoma belongs to the category of "scrofula" and "phlegm nodules" in traditional Chinese medicine. It is caused by the exposure to heat and toxins, which boils down body fluids, refines the fluids into phlegm, and the phlegm blocks the meridians, causing blood stasis. It may also be caused by worry, anger in the brain, stagnation of liver qi, stagnation of qi and blood stasis, qi stagnation turning into fire, refining fluids into phlegm, and qi, blood, phlegm and heat combining to form a shape. (2) Misunderstandings in the treatment of malignant lymphoma Clinically, malignant lymphoma is often misdiagnosed. For example, 70% to 80% of patients with malignant lymphoma who present with superficial lymphadenopathy as the first symptom are diagnosed with lymphadenitis or lymphadenopathy tuberculosis at the initial visit, resulting in delayed treatment. 1. Chronic lymphadenitis: There are usually obvious infection foci, and the lymph nodes are often focally enlarged, with pain and tenderness. They usually do not exceed 2-3 cm and can be reduced after anti-inflammatory treatment. 2. Giant lymph node hyperplasia: It is a type of lymph node enlargement of unknown cause, which mainly invades the chest cavity, most commonly in the mediastinum, and can also invade the hilum and lungs. 3. Pseudolymphoma: often occurs in areas outside the lymph nodes, such as pseudolymphoma of the orbit and stomach. 4. Tuberculous lymphadenitis: It is sometimes difficult to distinguish it from malignant lymphoma. The more typical patients often have pulmonary tuberculosis. 5. Lymph node metastasis: The lymph nodes are often hard and uneven in texture. The primary lesion can be found, and systemic lymph node enlargement is rare. General treatment methods include radiotherapy, chemotherapy, bone marrow transplantation, surgical treatment, etc. The current medical cure rate has also increased, but the key point is that patients must take appropriate care measures while actively receiving treatment, and those who are not ill must be vigilant to prevent the occurrence of lymphoma. Learning self-examination methods and seeking early treatment if symptoms occur are the determining factors for future recovery. |
