What causes itchy soles of feet?

People rely on their feet to walk. Without the support of their feet, they cannot walk normally. Therefore, people are very concerned about their feet. Feet help people achieve the purpose of walking, but feet also bear greater pressure, and excessive pressure can easily lead to pathological reactions. For example, what is the cause of itching on the soles of the feet? How should it be solved?

Causes:

1. Itchy feet are related to psychological factors. When you wipe yourself or tickle yourself, even if you touch sensitive areas, the brain's excitement and stimulation to the tickle has been reduced because you have been mentally prepared. When the brain feels that it is "teasing" itself and there is no need to be on guard or "afraid", you will not feel the itch.

2. When the feet are infected by bacteria and other pathogens, they will suffer from fungal infections such as athlete's foot or tinea pedis, and itching on the soles of the feet is one of the symptoms.

Solution:

1. When itching occurs, you can use cold compress to relieve it, but do not use this method frequently to avoid irritating the acupoints on the feet and causing discomfort. At the same time, drugs and other treatments are needed to control the growth of bacteria in order to completely eliminate pathogens from the feet. When wearing shoes, choose breathable ones, use hot water when washing your feet, and dry your feet in time.

2. Pay attention to hygiene and keep your feet clean. If you sweat too much, it is recommended to wash your feet several times a day and change socks frequently to keep your feet dry.

3. Except for physical education classes or activities such as mountain climbing and hiking, try not to wear non-breathable shoes such as sports shoes and hiking shoes, so as to avoid excessive foot sweat that is difficult to evaporate due to poor breathability, which will aggravate the symptoms of itchy soles of the feet.

4. The diet should be light, eat more fresh vegetables and fruits, and eat less or no foods that easily induce sweating, such as peppers, onions, raw garlic and other spicy foods.
