Be careful if you have these symptoms as they are signs of stomach cancer

Gastric cancer is one of the more common cancers. In the early stages of gastric cancer, the body will experience some symptoms, such as nausea or acid reflux, severe stomach pain, and severe burning sensation after eating. Gastric cancer may be misunderstood in the early stages, leading to a serious condition. It should be treated early.

Symptom 1: Heartburn and acid reflux

Heartburn generally refers to the area below the sternum, which is what we often call the "pit of the heart". It feels like there is a fire burning, and it is a burning sensation. This is mainly because the food in the stomach "runs" into the esophagus. The stomach secretes gastric acid, so the contents of the stomach are acidic, while the esophagus is alkaline. When acidic substances "run" into the esophagus, they will corrode the esophageal mucosa, just like a fire burning in the heart. This is what we call heartburn.

One is eating too much. When the stomach cannot hold so much food, it will cause food to reflux into the esophagus, causing heartburn;

The second is that eating sweet, spicy and other irritating foods frequently causes excessive secretion of gastric acid.

In addition to corroding the stomach, excessive stomach acid can also cause the contents of the stomach to reflux into the esophagus, causing heartburn and acid reflux. This means that your esophagus will also be corroded by stomach acid. Therefore, people who have heartburn and acid reflux symptoms for a long time are not only prone to problems in the stomach, but also some inflammation in the esophagus.

Some middle-aged and elderly people aged 40-60 have chest pain symptoms similar to angina pectoris at night or in the early morning, and the pain is located in the chest area. It may also be caused by food reflux into the esophagus, which irritates the mucosa and causes pain. Therefore, if you encounter a patient with angina pectoris and the heart examination shows no problems, you should consider taking the patient to the gastroenterology department for a check-up, as there may be problems with the stomach.

Symptom 2: Upper abdominal discomfort and pain

Upper abdominal discomfort is also the most common initial symptom of gastric cancer. It mainly manifests as a feeling of fullness or burning sensation after eating. It recurs repeatedly, but the duration of the attack is not long and the symptoms are not very severe. It is easy to be mistaken for indigestion or gastritis and be ignored.

If you experience recurring symptoms of indigestion, such as loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting, acid reflux and belching, you should go to the hospital in time to check whether you have gastric cancer. 57.5% of gastric cancer patients experience loss of appetite in the early stages, and 57.2% of patients experience nausea and vomiting. 74.7% of gastric cancer patients experience upper abdominal pain in the early stages.

It was mild at first, then gradually got worse. This pain is sometimes a dull ache and sometimes an intermittent dull pain. Some patients also have rhythmic pain (this type of pain is more obvious in antral cancer), which will be relieved after eating or taking medicine; some elderly people have dull pain nerves and cannot feel stomach pain, thinking it is just abdominal bloating, so you need to be careful in this case.

Upper abdominal pain in the early stages of gastric cancer is often diagnosed as gastritis or gastric ulcer, and patients need to be extra careful.

1 to 3 hours after a meal, there will be a burning pain or dull pain in the upper abdomen, which will gradually ease. This is the most typical symptom of gastric ulcer and you should go to the hospital for treatment in time.

Symptom 3: Anemia

"There is another more hidden sign of stomach cancer, which we would never even associate with stomach disease, and that is anemia." For people with stomach cancer, the tumor damages blood vessels and causes stomach bleeding. Some people will have symptoms of vomiting blood, which is the main cause of anemia.
