What are the real causes and symptoms of headaches?

Nowadays, many people often suffer from severe migraine symptoms due to physical problems. Migraine is actually related to common causes. It is because many people do not pay attention to it that the migraine worsens. The cause of migraine may be related to the surrounding environment and diet. If a migraine occurs again, you may feel bloating, dizziness, and nausea.

What are the causes of migraine?

1. Environmental factors that cause migraine

Common environmental factors that cause migraines include weather and temperature changes, strong sunlight, wind, cold stimulation, etc., which can all cause migraine attacks. Loud noise, excessive light, flashing and dazzling lights, and irritating odors can also cause migraines.

2. Dietary factors of migraine

Many migraine attacks are often related to diet, often caused by hunger, consumption of alcoholic beverages, cold drinks, spicy and other irritating foods. Also, consuming foods containing ingredients such as tyramine and nitrites can trigger migraine attacks. Foods containing tyramine: such as cheese, dried sausage, smoked fish, chicken liver, red wine, chocolate, bacon, canned figs, etc. Foods containing nitrite: such as ham, sausage, pickles, fermented bean curd, mustard tuber, kimchi, pickled meat, leftovers, etc.

Migraine without aura

Migraine without aura is the most common type of migraine, accounting for about 80 percent of all migraines.

There may be no obvious precursor symptoms before the onset of the disease. Some patients also experience mental disorders, fatigue, yawning, loss of appetite, general discomfort, etc. before the onset of the disease. Pain can also be induced in women during menstruation, drinking, and hunger. The headache usually worsens slowly, with recurrent unilateral or bilateral frontal and temporal pain that is pulsating. When the pain persists, the symptoms may be complicated by contraction of the neck muscles.

It is often accompanied by symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, photophobia, phonophobia, sweating, general malaise, and scalp tenderness. Compared with migraine with aura, migraine without aura has a higher frequency of attacks, which can seriously affect patients' work and life, often requiring frequent use of analgesics, and is prone to a new type of headache, "medication overdose headache".
