Simple way to kill ants

Simple way to kill ants

They like sweet foods, such as cakes, honey, maltose, brown sugar, eggs, fruit cores, meat skin, dead insects, etc. They can identify roads and move very quickly. There are many ants breeding everywhere in the house, which is related to the presence of food residues in the corners. Especially in summer, ants really give us a headache, affecting our living environment and our health. Here are some simple ways to get rid of ants:

Use dishwashing liquid and water. Pour dishwashing liquid and water into the bottle in a ratio of 1:2 and shake them well. As soon as you see ants (either one or a group), spray them with the solution. The ant will instantly freeze and suffocate to death. Wipe away the dead ants with a damp cloth, saving the solution in the spray bottle for next use.

You can also use a shallow dish of soapy water and sprinkle some sweets on it to attract the ants.

This method can kill a group of ants, but it will not eliminate the ant nest. If the ants keep coming back, you'll need to address the problem at the source.

Soapy water is a natural insecticide that not only kills ants, but also most insects. You can also use it against cockroaches.

Use white vinegar and water. Ants really hate vinegar, so you can make a cheap and easy insecticide using just vinegar and water. Pour equal parts vinegar and water into a spray bottle and shake well. Spray it directly on the ants to kill them. Then wipe it clean with a wet wipe and throw it in the trash.

Vinegar and water can also repel ants. Spray around windowsills, doorways, and other areas where ants are present.

Some people find that ants rarely crawl on floors, windows, and tabletops that have been cleaned with a vinegar solution. White vinegar is an effective household cleaner, and the vinegar smell disappears once it dries.

Make your own lemon juice spray. Can't stand the smell of vinegar? Then use lemon juice instead. Ants hate the citric acid in lemon juice, so you can also spray it around your house to keep ants away. Mix lemon juice with water (ratio 1:3) and use it as an all-purpose spray.

Use boric acid. It is an all-natural substance that is very effective against ants. When ants eat boric acid, they suffer from stomach poisoning and die. Boric acid, like diatomaceous earth, can also damage the exoskeleton of ants. Boric acid comes in a white or blue powder form and is sprinkled on areas where ants often hang out, such as near baseboards or on windowsills.

Boric acid is not toxic, but it is not suitable for humans or pets to ingest. Keep away from places where children and pets play. Don't store near food or in kitchen cabinets.

Boric acid is not harmful to beneficial insects, birds, reptiles or fish.
