How to identify the quality of disposable towels

The use of disposable towels is quite common in our daily life, but when using disposable towels, we should also pay attention to the correct methods of selecting towels and identifying the quality of towels, so that we can use the towels more cleanly.

1. How to choose

Although disposable towels are not high-end towels, they are only used once in a bathing center and then discarded. However, there are still some requirements when choosing disposable towels. Let me briefly introduce them below.

1. First of all, we need to look at the whiteness. There is no specific standard for this. You can compare several manufacturers;

2. Fluffy texture and soft touch: Such disposable towels give people a feeling of comfort and enjoyment. They are elastic in the hand and feel like a spring breeze on the face, giving people a feeling of affection. Avoid dryness and hardness to avoid hurting the skin.

3. Good water absorption. Disposable towels have particularly strong requirements for hydrophilicity. After wiping with the towel, the water is wiped off and the dust and dirt are removed. This requires high-quality cotton yarn, advanced scouring and printing and dyeing technology, and perfect testing and inspection methods.

3. How to identify quality

1. Look at the hygroscopicity:

That is to say, if you put a towel here and drop some water on it, the water will immediately seep into the towel without any slippage or diffusion. A bad towel will form water droplets and will not seep through, and the water droplets cannot stay and will quickly slide off. We say this is a bad towel because it is too soft and does not absorb moisture.

2. Check if the towel is fading:

Pure cotton towels are generally dyed with reactive dyes. The dye molecules are covalently bonded to the cellulose molecules, fixing the dye on the fibers. During the reaction, part of the dye combines with the fiber, while part of the dye is hydrolyzed and adsorbed on the fiber surface, but no covalent bond occurs and it easily falls off.

When dyeing dark towels, a large amount of hydrolyzed dyes are adsorbed on the fibers, which are difficult to wash off, so there will be discoloration during the first wash, which is unavoidable. If a light-colored towel fades more during the first wash or a dark-colored towel continues to fade after multiple washes, it is caused by unqualified dyes or inaccurate dyeing processes, and is considered an unqualified product.
