How to make your own plant-based lipstick powder

Nowadays, many people prefer to DIY lipstick, choosing some healthy materials and making a lipstick without additives, which is healthier. It is also a better method. If you want to make plant powder lipstick powder, the method is relatively simple. You need to go to some regular supply stores to choose the corresponding ingredients. These ingredients are generally green products. Of course, you must also pay attention to the production process, especially in avoiding spoilage problems.

How to make your own plant-based lipstick

1. Teaspoon of beeswax or beeswax beads. You can find beeswax at craft supply stores. 1 teaspoon shea butter, mango butter, almond butter, butter or avocado. This helps the lipstick roll on smoothly. 1 teaspoon oil, such as almond oil, extra virgin olive oil, jojoba oil.

2. For a bright red lipstick, use beetroot powder. Cinnamon can be used to achieve a reddish-brown color. Turmeric can be mixed with other powders for more copper. Cocoa powder gives the lipstick a dark brown hue.

3. Melt the basic ingredients together. Place the lipstick base ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl. Place it in the microwave for 30 seconds with the added ingredients until they are melted. Stir the ingredients to make sure they are thoroughly incorporated.

4. Mixed colors. Now comes the fun part: add 1/8 - 1/4 teaspoon of the natural powder you wish to use. Mix the powders for a more saturated result. Stir the powder mixture into the base, and continue adding more (in small increments) until you are happy with the color.

5. Pour the mixture into a container. You can use an old lipstick or lip balm tube, a small makeup container, or any container with a lid as your new lipstick container. Allow the lipstick to harden at room temperature or in the refrigerator before you use it.

Method 2

Prepare materials and tools: electronic scale, lipstick mold, alcohol lamp, glass beaker, lipstick tube, lipstick powder, small tree candle wax, beeswax, shea butter, vitamin E, almond oil. First, pour an appropriate amount of almond oil into the beaker, grind the lipstick powder for a longer time until there are no particles, and stir with a glass rod.

After adding the ingredients, you can heat and dissolve them with alcohol. Prepare the lipstick mold and the fixing stand.

Just add vitamin E before canning, and then demould it after cooling. You can put it in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes. First, take off the ring, as shown in the picture

Put on the lipstick tube, which will be disinfected with alcohol before use.

Finally, this is the demoulding. Because it is purely handmade, there will inevitably be some small flaws, such as fine lines and small holes. These are the regrettable beauty of handmade
