How to use contour powder

When applying makeup, in order to make the facial features look more three-dimensional, contouring pens are used. In addition to contouring pens, there are also contouring powders. These can be used to illuminate and correct certain parts. The effect is similar to that of plastic surgery. Contouring powder is safer and more effective, and there is no need to worry about harming the skin. It is also very simple to use.

1 First of all, you need to know clearly every part of the face, which part needs to be brightened and which part needs shadow. The face will naturally be more refined with a three-dimensional effect.

2 Bright colors have the visual illusion of floating outward, so they are generally used in areas of the face that need to be raised. The colors that can generally be used for contouring are white, pearlescent colors, beige, etc.

3. Apply contour powder to the center of the forehead and the center of the eyebrows, then extend to the bridge of the nose and the tip of the nose without applying any more powder.

4. Use a glossy primer under the eyes to modify the depressions under the eyes. Bright colors can cover dark circles and make the cheekbones appear fuller.

5 The front of the jaw tends to appear sunken, so you should apply a little contouring powder to maintain the overall balance of the face.

6The light and shadow effect created by dark colors is called "shadow". Use it on the face to highlight the contours and make the facial curves firm and beautiful. Paired with contouring powder, the face will immediately become delicate and three-dimensional. Dip a small makeup brush into the shadow powder and lightly sweep it on both sides of the nose bridge and nose wings.

7 Lightly apply shadow powder along the facial contour, without applying too wide.

8 Take a deep breath and apply the shadows to the concave areas on your cheeks.

9 In fact, contouring products are not suitable for daily use. They are generally used in photography to create a shrinking effect, but it will be noticeable if used in daily life.

10 If you use it normally, don't use it on your face. You can use it on the depressions below the cheekbones and on your cheeks. When using, pay attention to the transition at the edges to make sure it is natural. Apply it vigorously where the contour color and foundation transition, so that there is no visible dividing line.
