What is the reason for the burning sensation from the throat to the esophagus

If there is a burning sensation from the throat to the esophagus, it is most likely a reaction caused by stomach discomfort. You need to identify what disease you have and then start treatment. If necessary, you need to go to the hospital for a gastroscopy for further examination. For milder conditions, you can take some medicine under the doctor's advice and you will recover. However, the stomach still needs to be slowly recuperated. It is impossible to quickly eradicate it by taking medicine all at once. You need to pay special attention to your diet.

Generally, there is a burning sensation and stomach bloating and discomfort, which are considered to be caused by gastritis and gastroesophageal reflux. It is recommended to take medication while doing gastroscopy or barium meal examination, and check for Helicobacter pylori. If positive, regular medication should be taken.

The symptoms of gastritis vary from person to person. Some gastritis may not show any symptoms but is only discovered during examination. Your abdominal distension is also a manifestation of gastritis. There is always a burning sensation from the throat to the stomach, especially the junction of the throat and nose is often dry and sometimes painful and uncomfortable. This is esophagitis caused by the reflux of gastric contents, also known as reflux esophagitis. It mainly manifests as a burning sensation behind the sternum, and there will also be pain behind the sternum. The reflux of gastric contents to the throat can stimulate this area and cause inflammation.

For the possibility of esophagitis, first of all, you should avoid mental stimulation, eat small meals frequently, eat a low-fat, light diet, and avoid irritating foods; do not eat too much, especially dinner; do not eat before going to bed; avoid smoking, alcohol and coffee. Do not lie down immediately after a meal, and raise the head of the bed when sleeping to reduce the chance of acid reflux. Drug treatment commonly uses ranitidine, famotidine or omeprazole to inhibit gastric acid secretion. The use of aluminum hydroxide gel and magnesium oxide can neutralize gastric acid, thereby reducing the activity of pepsin and reducing the damage of acidic gastric contents to the esophageal mucosa.

At this time, special attention should be paid to a disease - reflux esophagitis! It is caused by the reflux of stomach and duodenal contents, mainly acidic gastric juice or acidic gastric juice plus bile, into the esophagus, causing inflammation, erosion, ulceration, fibrosis and other lesions of the esophageal mucosa. You can monitor esophageal pH for 24 hours or do X-rays to see if you are functional or pathological.
