What are the signs and symptoms of cerebral hemorrhage?

Cerebral hemorrhage is a common disease among the elderly, and it is a relatively fast-acting brain disease. If it is not treated in time, it may cause sequelae or even endanger life. Before a cerebral hemorrhage occurs, some precursor symptoms are likely to appear, generally headache, dizziness, or weakness in the limbs, which require timely examination.

Signs and symptoms of cerebral hemorrhage

Headache

Headache is the most obvious symptom of cerebral hemorrhage. When a patient suffers a cerebral hemorrhage, the blood will stimulate the pain nerves in the meninges and brain, and more than 80% of people will experience severe headaches. Its characteristic is that the headache occurs on the affected side at first, and as the intracranial pressure increases and blood flows, the whole headache gradually appears.

hemiplegia

Hemiplegia refers to movement disorders in the upper and lower limbs on one side or the tongue and facial muscles on the same side. This is a very common symptom of cerebrovascular disease. No matter which side of the brain is lesioned, it may cause hemiplegia. The symptoms vary in severity and are divided into complete paralysis and incomplete paralysis.

Vomit

Vomiting is also a common symptom of cerebral hemorrhage, usually projectile vomiting, with a probability of occurrence as high as 80%. When a cerebral hemorrhage occurs, pressure within the skull rises and vomiting and headaches may become severe. If the vomitus is brown, it may be accompanied by upper gastrointestinal bleeding, which is an indication of a high-risk condition.

Impaired consciousness

Because the brain is severely damaged, impaired consciousness is also a common symptom of cerebral hemorrhage. Approximately 60% to 80% of patients with cerebral hemorrhage experience impaired consciousness. Except for patients with milder cerebral hemorrhage who are conscious, patients with moderate or severe cerebral hemorrhage will have serious impaired consciousness, and some may even go into a coma.

prevention

Stabilize blood pressure. Patients with hypertension should receive timely treatment, undergo regular check-ups, and take medication when necessary to ensure that their blood levels are within normal range and avoid large fluctuations.

Control your diet. The diet is mainly low in fat, salt and sugar. Try not to eat animal offal, eat more fruits and vegetables rich in vitamins, and eat some soy products, fish, eggs, etc. containing high-quality protein.

Drink more water: Only when the body maintains sufficient water can the blood be diluted and blood volume be ensured. So you should drink more water at ordinary times, especially before going to bed and after work, drink one or two cups of warm water.

Drink tea often. The tea here refers to natural selenium buckwheat tea. This tea has a good taste and is suitable for patients with high blood pressure as a daily health care drink. Natural selenium buckwheat tea is rich in the trace element selenium, which can help the human body replenish selenium. Selenium can maintain the normal functioning of various organs in the body and is also very helpful in preventing tumors and cardiovascular diseases. In addition, it is rich in bioflavonoids, which can help soften blood vessels, clean the blood, and make blood circulation smoother, thereby effectively protecting the cardiovascular and cerebrovascular systems.
