What to do with the tooth cavity after tooth extraction

What to do with the tooth cavity after tooth extraction

After a tooth is extracted, a deep hole will be left on our tooth. Many people just ignore it after the tooth is extracted. After a period of time, the hole will slowly be partially filled. After a few days, the hole will not hurt at all, but it makes people feel that there is a big hole in the tooth, which makes people feel very uncomfortable. They always put things into the hole when eating. Therefore, people usually choose to install dentures after tooth extraction, and you can install dentures 2 months after extraction to avoid the adjacent teeth from falling over.

1. Can the tooth cavity be healed?

Tooth cavities can be healed. It takes about three months for a tooth cavity to heal, but few people know how the wound will heal next, because all the worries are about how painful it will be to have a tooth extracted. But if you understand this, it will actually be more conducive to self-care, pain relief, and make the wound heal more smoothly. Generally speaking, it takes about 7 days for the blood clot in the wound to be replaced by granulation tissue. After half a month, the wound will be basically stable. After about a month, epithelial tissue will be formed. After that, bone tissue from the tooth extraction wound will gradually form. If a particularly deep hole is left after wisdom tooth extraction, you don't have to worry about the gums at the wound not growing evenly in the future. Because the wound heals from the inside out, the hole left by tooth extraction will be basically healed after bone tissue is formed three months later. At this time, the worrying tooth cavities will basically disappear. During the process of the tooth hole healing, food residue will not affect the healing of the wound. On the contrary, paying too much attention to cleaning the residual food in the "hole" after tooth extraction is not conducive to the healing of the wound and should be paid attention to. So, as long as you don't commit suicide, the hole on the tooth can be repaired no matter how the tooth is extracted. Everyone just needs to take care of their teeth after having them extracted.

2. Precautions after tooth extraction

1. First of all, the most important thing is that after tooth extraction, you should stay calm and listen carefully to the doctor's instructions. This is very important.

2. It is best not to eat within 2 hours. Eat soft food, liquid or semi-liquid food on the same day. It is better to eat warm or cold food. Do not eat hard or overheated food. You can chew on the other side.

3. Do not rinse your mouth or spit too much on the day to prevent bleeding or infection. Do not repeatedly suck and spit out blood clots due to the bloody taste in your mouth, which will prevent the wound from healing.

4. Don’t brush your teeth on that day. Do not suck on the wound. No musical instrument.

5. It is normal to have blood in saliva within 1 week after tooth extraction. If the bleeding does not stop, go to the hospital for examination.

6. Try to exercise and talk less on the day of tooth extraction. Avoid smoking, drinking and spicy food.

7. If there are stitches in the mouth during tooth extraction, the stitches can usually be removed after 4 to 5 days.

8. Pay attention to the condition of the wound after tooth extraction. If there is a lot of bleeding, seek medical attention in time. The gauze or cotton ball on the wound after tooth extraction needs to be bitten for about half an hour before spitting it out. Do not bite it too tightly or for too long. A small amount of blood in your saliva is normal for 24 hours.
