In addition, pillows with buckwheat husks are also very popular. So how do you wash this kind of pillow?

How to wash the buckwheat husk in the pillow?

Buckwheat husk pillows will accumulate certain bacteria and dirt after long-term use, and at this time the buckwheat husk pillows need to be cleaned. How to clean buckwheat husk pillow thoroughly?

1. For pillows that are used for a long time, it is far from enough to just wash the pillowcase and pillowcase. The pillow core needs to be taken out and washed together.

2. Divide the buckwheat husk into different equal parts according to the amount of buckwheat husk in the pillow. The purpose of this is to thoroughly clean the buckwheat husk.

3. Put the sorted buckwheat husks into gauze bags, soak and wash them repeatedly in clean water. After the water is clear, put them in the washing machine to spin dry.

4. Place the dried buckwheat husks on a wide area and dry them in the sun until they are completely dry. This process is both a drying process and a disinfection process.

Different pillow cores require different washing methods:

Chemical fiber pillow core: This type of pillow is an ordinary man-made fiber pillow. The chemical fiber material causes poor air permeability. After long-term use, it is prone to lack of elasticity, deformation and clumps, and will appear uneven. In addition to frequent cleaning, you should also pay attention to frequent replacement. When washing, use a mild detergent. If machine washing, it is best to wrap it with a large towel to balance the water flow and prevent deformation.

Buckwheat husk pillow core: clean out debris regularly. Buckwheat husk pillow cores, tea pillow cores, medicinal pillows, etc. generally have health-care and calming effects. If washed with water, it will not only affect the health-care effects, but also easily become moldy. However, this type of pillow core will produce some debris and dust after long-term use, which can easily cause allergies. Therefore, every once in a while, you can pour out the buckwheat husks, tea leaves, etc., sift out the debris, spread them out flat and dry them in the sun.

Down pillow core: It has the advantages of being light, breathable, and fluffy, but it is not easy to clean. If it is not cleaned properly, the pillow core will clump. Down pillow cores are not suitable for machine washing. When washing, first soak the pillow core in cold water for 20 minutes, then put it in warm water at 30°C, add neutral detergent and soak it for 15 minutes, then gently brush it with a soft brush. When rinsing, add 4 to 5 tablespoons of white vinegar to a basin of warm water. This can neutralize the alkaline detergent components remaining in the down pillow core to reduce damage to the down. After washing, do not wring it too dry. Use both hands to squeeze out the water. After drying in a cool place, you can gently pat the pillow core to restore the fluffy and soft down.

Latex pillow core: good elasticity, strong support, and not easy to accumulate dust, etc., especially suitable for people who are prone to respiratory allergies. When cleaning, first soak it in cold water with detergent, then press it lightly with your hands, and then rinse it with clean water. After washing, absorb water with a dry cloth and place it in a cool place to air dry.
