Does taking anti-inflammatory drugs affect HIV testing?

AIDS is a very terrible disease in life. It can cause great damage to health, causing the patient's resistance to decline or even to disappear, and seriously shortening life expectancy. Moreover, AIDS is highly contagious and can easily cause mass infection. Testing for HIV is also an important part of physical examinations, but does taking anti-inflammatory drugs affect HIV testing?

Oral antibiotics will not affect the screening of HIV antibodies. There is no need to worry about this, because except for drugs for treating AIDS and AIDS blocking drugs, other drugs will not affect the window period of HIV antibodies.

How to test for HIV:

1. Whether high-risk sexual behavior occurs

AIDS is transmitted through blood, mother-to-child transmission and sexual intercourse. The first two are natural disasters, and there is nothing we can do if they really come to us. Only the last one is the most widely spread and the easiest to infect. Especially for sex workers, who have sexual relations with hundreds or thousands of people, cross-infection and the possibility of spreading AIDS are very high.

2. Do you have cold-like symptoms?

Continue with step 1. If HIV is transmitted through high-risk sexual behavior, you will experience mild physical discomfort 4-8 weeks after the last sexual intercourse. For example, swollen lymph nodes, fever, colds, etc., often heal themselves within a few days and are not easy for patients to notice.

3. Whether there are symptoms such as diarrhea and high fever

After a few inexplicable colds, if you are indeed infected with HIV, further symptoms will appear, including weight loss, decreased resistance, diarrhea or coughing, which can last for several months and cannot be cured. This is when attention should be paid.

4. Routine examination can initially screen out abnormalities

If you are always worried that you may be infected with AIDS but are embarrassed to go to the hospital for examination, you can do a routine examination first. AIDS patients often have anemia, a decreased white blood cell count, and urine protein in urine tests. But just because all three of these tests are present does not mean that AIDS is confirmed; further testing should be done.
