Tattoo sequelae

Tattoo sequelae

Many people choose to get tattoos as a manifestation of their beliefs, but tattoos are a way of injecting pigment into our skin with a needle, which is actually a great harm to our bodies. People who get tattoos also need to endure great pain, and after getting a tattoo, they also need proper care to reduce damage to the body and ensure that the shape of their tattoo remains intact.

You must take a shower after getting a tattoo, and you should take a shower every day, but don't rub the skin of the tattooed area hard when washing, because the purpose of bathing is to wash away the exuded body fluids and residual ointments. However, be careful not to use irritating bath gels, soaps, etc. Just use a mild soap to wash gently. In addition, the bathing time should not be too long. You can take a shower, but not a bath or swimming. After bathing, apply erythromycin ointment to the tattooed area (the advantage of applying erythromycin ointment is that the skin of the tattooed area will not be too dry and will not form thick scabs).

Before the tattoo is completely healed, apply erythromycin ointment to the tattooed skin three or four times a day. Let the ointment stay on the tattoo for about twenty to thirty minutes before wiping it off. This will not only prevent skin inflammation, but also prevent the ointment from getting on clothes easily. It will also allow the skin to breathe and not be so greasy.

During the tattoo recovery process, the tattooed area will itch, peel and form a thin scab. These are all normal phenomena, but you must not scratch the tattooed area with your hands, otherwise it will affect the color of the tattoo. If the skin recovers well, it will generally heal in about a week. In the future, you should consciously protect the tattooed area (if the skin in the tattooed area is injured, it will affect the color, and in severe cases it will need to be recolored). Also, try not to drink alcohol, eat seafood, or eat spicy food before the tattoo is completely healed, as these can cause redness, itching, and even allergic reactions (especially seafood) in the tattooed area, which can easily cause adverse consequences for the tattoo.
