Is it better to have a thin or thick cotton pad?

People who love beauty know that washing the face and applying makeup are inseparable from cotton pads. I also use cotton pads when washing my face and applying foundation. But I don’t really understand what kind of cotton pads are good. Sometimes I just buy things on a whim. Are thin or thick cotton pads better? Let’s see what everyone thinks.

It is not necessarily the case that the thicker the better. There are three types of cotton. One is pure cotton, which is very prone to shedding and has good water absorption.

One is non-woven, does not shed, has poor water absorption, and will not waste makeup water. The third is a mixed type, which is pure cotton inside and non-woven outside. It also does not shed, has moderate water absorption, and is most suitable for removing makeup.

The key to cleansing puff is quality. There is no difference between thickness and thinness. You can use your hands to pull the cleansing puff apart to see if the holes on it are dense or not. The quality is better.

The quality of cosmetic cotton is not determined by its thickness or thinness. The key to a good cosmetic cotton is that it does not shed residue and does not change shape after use. Thicker cosmetic cotton is more comfortable to use than thinner ones and can absorb more water, but it wastes more water. Nowadays, lotions are all in big bottles, which is actually for us to waste. Generally, thicker ones are used to absorb more water, and it will not get on your hands when you pat your face, so that more water is absorbed by the face.

Pour lotion into the palm of your hand and pat it gently on your face, using only your fingers as the palms absorb water easily. If it is a lotion, you can also apply it on your face with your fingers and pat it gently. Cosmetic cotton pads are mostly used for applying foundation. No matter how thick or thin it is, it must first be soft and absorbent. Thin ones are easy to fall off and are not durable. The maximum thickness should not exceed 1.5 cm.

In fact, thickness is not the key issue, the key is whether you like it. The thin ones don’t feel as thick as the thick ones, but they save on lotion. The thick one is comfortable to use, but it wastes lotion. Each has its advantages, so it’s not difficult for us to choose the middle one. Having said so much, we just want a beautiful face and flawless skin. Since it is for beauty, there is nothing we can't give up. We should use it in whatever way is comfortable and satisfying. Why bother about what kind is better? Just like what you like and it's good to use.
