What does arrhythmia mean

What does arrhythmia mean

Arrhythmia has become a common disease. The age limit for this disease is not so strict. Some children may have the condition. For patients with mild symptoms, usually no treatment is required. As long as you pay attention to not staying up late often, go to bed early and get up early, and don't fluctuate too much in your mood, the situation can be gradually alleviated. However, if the condition is serious, systematic treatment is necessary.

Many arrhythmias have no symptoms. If you have symptoms, they are usually the following:

1. Palpitations (a condition in which the patient can feel the heartbeat getting faster and heavier)

2. Slow heartbeat

3. Irregular heartbeat

4. The heart pauses between beats.

Arrhythmia caused by serious diseases is often accompanied by some symptoms, including dizziness, chest tightness, chest pain, shortness of breath, sweating, pale face, cold limbs, convulsions, coma, etc. People with mild arrhythmia can still work and study as usual. [1]

Irregular heartbeats are often caused by:

1. Metabolic abnormalities: electrolyte imbalance (e.g. potassium, sodium, calcium) in the body, endocrine disorders (e.g. hyperthyroidism.

2. Emotions: Especially when you are emotionally excited, arrhythmia may occur due to the impact on the endocrine system.

3. Heart disease: ischemic heart disease (coronary artery disease), rheumatic heart disease, myocarditis, myocardial disease, and congenital heart disease, etc.

Drugs: In addition to some drugs that may cause arrhythmia, caffeine in coffee, nicotine in cigarettes, and alcohol, at a certain dose, can also cause arrhythmia. [2]

Furthermore, heart-related symptoms such as palpitations, chest tightness, chest pain, forgetfulness, insomnia, coma, slurred speech, fullness in the chest, anxiety, syncope, edema, etc., all involve the spleen (stomach), and most of them are caused by the spleen (stomach). In terms of treatment method, we first strengthen the spleen and stomach, and then use the method of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis. This is actually "treating the symptoms and the root cause at the same time". It is more conducive to the removal of harmful substances in the body (oxygen free radicals), reducing blood lipids and blood viscosity, improving myocardial blood supply, and eliminating the adverse factors of thrombosis.

This treatment method can be regarded as another advancement in the prevention and treatment of heart disease. If you just keep removing blood stasis, replenishing qi or promoting diuresis, you will hurt your stomach and your vital energy, and only treat the symptoms and not the root cause. How can you cure heart disease? Moreover, most elderly people have weak stomach qi, so you must strengthen the stomach qi first before you can cure heart disease.
