Is it necessary to remove a mole?

Do I have to remove a mole? Melanoma is familiar to many melanoma patients, and perhaps many people have been troubled by melanoma. Therefore, we should pay attention to dermatological health and dare to fight against melanoma. So, do I have to remove a mole? Let's answer the question together.

After people learned that moles may turn into cancer, many people with moles on their bodies were afraid of it and requested surgery to remove them. However, according to statistics, only one in 100,000 people will have a mole turn into cancer, and it is often related to long-term and repeated mechanical stimulation. Therefore, in clinical practice, surgical removal is only considered for the following moles that have a tendency to turn into cancer.

1. The rash is asymmetrical. One side of the rash is relatively stable, while the other side expands outward and becomes irregular and rough.

Second, the rash becomes darker or lighter in pigment, which may be light brown, dark brown, black, dark red, purple, gray-green, gray-blue, or even disappear.

Third, the border around the rash is unclear, or one side is clear and the other side is blurry, giving people a vague feeling.

Fourth, the rash grows rapidly in a short period of time. It doubles in 12 months. If the diameter of the congenital nevus rash is greater than 6 cm, especially if it occurs on the palms and soles, if the diameter of the nevus exceeds 15 mm, it indicates the possibility of malignancy.

5. Whether the rash is raised. The rash may not be raised at first, but will be slightly raised later and gradually form nodules. Or there may be erosion, scabs, pus or water on the surface, especially blood.

Moles generally need to be treated, but moles in areas susceptible to friction should be removed as soon as possible. No matter what kind of mole it is, you must not pick it with a needle or squeeze it with your fingers, and do not apply topical medication casually, so as not to make it worse. Mole removal must be done in a regular hospital under the correct guidance of a doctor.

Melanoma is actually very easy to treat as long as you go to a professional dermatology hospital for treatment as soon as possible. If you also suffer from melanoma, it is recommended that you pay attention to it. At the same time, for melanoma, you should not go to some irregular dermatology hospitals for treatment just for the sake of convenience, so as to avoid melanoma posing a threat to your health. Through the above introduction, everyone should have some understanding of whether it is necessary to remove a mole. Finally, I wish the patient a speedy recovery.
