After limb-sparing surgery for osteosarcoma of the limbs, the affected limb should be elevated with a stent, pillow, etc. to facilitate blood return; the placement of the limb fixed with a plaster splint should be based on the principle of comfort, facilitating venous return, and not causing plaster breakage or compressing local soft tissue; the sensation, movement, and numbness of the distal fingers (toes) of the limb should be closely observed to understand whether the limb nerves are compressed or damaged.

4. After osteosarcoma amputation, the nature of the incision pain should be understood, which is often neuropathic pain, and symptomatic treatment should be given; the color, temperature, and sensation of the skin at the edge of the incision should be observed to see if there is necrosis; functional exercises of the residual limb should be performed as soon as possible to prepare for the installation of the prosthesis.

5. Strictly implement aseptic operation, keep the negative pressure drainage tube unobstructed, keep the incision dry, observe the healing of the incision and the swelling and blood circulation of the affected limb, avoid prolonged pressure on the incision, and prevent necrosis.
