Is it good to take Chinese medicine for hamartoma

Is it good to take Chinese medicine for hamartoma? Nowadays, many people who suffer from hamartoma believe in the treatment of Chinese medicine. They think that Chinese medicine has no side effects, so they are concerned about whether taking Chinese medicine is good or not. So, let us find out whether it is good to take Chinese medicine for hamartoma.

There is no folk remedy for renal hamartoma. Western medicine and surgery are recommended. Generally, patients with renal hamartomas smaller than 4 cm do not need to be treated. Larger hamartomas can be treated with enucleation or partial nephrectomy. Patients with larger tumors, damaged renal structure, and loss of function can consider nephrectomy.

When renal tumors are confirmed to require resection, renal artery embolization can be performed simultaneously with selective renal arteriography to reduce intraoperative bleeding and tumor cell metastasis. When the tumor involves a wide range of areas and adjacent organs are affected and cannot be removed, palliative renal artery embolization can be performed, supplemented by radiotherapy and chemotherapy. After renal tumor surgery, regular (3 to 6 months) follow-up examinations with chest radiographs, B-ultrasound, and whole-body bone scans (SPECT) are required to detect renal pedicle recurrence and metastasis.

Health care measures for hamartoma:

Patients should keep a good mood, avoid being angry, eat more vegetables and fruits, keep bowel movements smooth, avoid eating too much, eat less beef, mutton, pork, and dog meat, avoid eating greasy and thick food, strong alcohol, and spicy fried food, and eat light, nutritious food. Hamartoma patients should avoid excessive force when working and doing housework, do not hold heavy objects, and do not do strenuous exercise to avoid increasing abdominal pressure and causing tumor rupture and bleeding. They can often do low-intensity exercise such as long-distance walking, regularly check kidney B-ultrasound, and pay attention to the size of the tumor.
