Don't randomly remove moles on your body. Repeated removal of moles may lead to cancer!

Everyone may have a mole. Some moles may grow in particularly conspicuous places, such as the face, while some moles grow in less conspicuous places on the body. Many people believe that the location of body or facial moles will affect their image or luck, so they always want to remove the moles. If you fail to properly handle the moles on your body and remove them all, it will induce the malignant transformation of the moles.

If you randomly mark a mole, be careful of cancer

"Mole removal" is to remove the mole by freezing, burning, etc. However, if you just go to a street beauty salon to get it done, it will not only leave scars and be difficult to remove, but you also have to be careful of cancer caused by repeated stimulation.

Mole: also known as pigmented nevus, cellular nevus or melanocytic nevus (not melanoma), is the most common benign skin tumor in humans. It is a skin manifestation caused by an increase in melanocytes in the epidermis and dermis.

According to the different locations of nevus cells in the skin, nevus can be divided into three types: junctional nevus, mixed nevus and intradermal nevus. In addition, according to the time sequence of occurrence, nevus can be divided into congenital and acquired.

Generally, moles with a diameter of less than 3mm and light color can be treated with carbon dioxide laser or ion removal. However, moles that are too large are difficult to completely remove with ion or carbon dioxide laser, which often leads to recurrence and scars. At the same time, this treatment itself is an adverse stimulus to the mole, which can easily cause the malignant transformation of the mole and induce the occurrence of malignant melanoma, so it is extremely dangerous.

Will a mole turn into melanoma? Not necessarily!

Everyone has moles on their skin to a greater or lesser extent. About 60% to 80% of malignant melanomas are caused by the malignant transformation of moles, but this does not mean that most moles will become malignant melanomas. Only a very small number of moles will become malignant. In life, if we do not have a clear understanding of moles, especially if we do not handle them properly, it will often cause the malignant transformation of moles and induce the occurrence of malignant melanoma, so we must recognize the moles on our bodies.

If a mole shows the following signs of malignancy, you must go to the hospital as soon as possible.

1. The mole grows larger in a short period of time

2. The color of the mole changes significantly, or the color of the same mole is uneven

3. The mole initially feels itchy and painful

4. Moles become inflamed, ulcerated, or bleed, and do not heal for a long time

5. Small satellite moles appear next to the mole

For any mole suspected of being malignant, surgical removal and pathological examination are the first choice. Laser treatment should never be chosen, as laser stimulation may promote the metastasis or spread of cancer cells. Also, never go to a street stall and "remove moles" casually. Be careful that the mole will not be removed but will become cancerous.

Don’t be nervous when you see this. In fact, the incidence rate of malignant melanoma in my country is much lower than that of white people in Europe and the United States, which is only about 5 people per 1 million people. However, its malignancy is very high, so don’t touch moles randomly!
