What are the mycoplasma detection methods?

Mycoplasma is a cellular microorganism, and there is a need to cultivate mycoplasma clinically. If mycoplasma infection occurs in the human body, it can easily cause some diseases, which will have a great impact on the patient's physical and mental health. The detection of many diseases also requires mycoplasma testing, such as pneumonia. It can be seen that the problem of mycoplasma must be taken seriously. So what are the methods for mycoplasma detection?

1. Routine blood test: Patients with mycoplasma infection can undergo routine blood test, and the result will be that the total number of peripheral blood white blood cells will be normal or slightly increased, with neutrophils as the main component.

2. X-ray examination : Mycoplasma patients can also be examined by X-ray. However, chest X-rays of pneumonia caused by mycoplasma are mostly non-specific and often show unilateral lower lobe infiltration.

3. Pathological examination: Patients can also undergo etiological examination, and sputum, nose and throat swab cultures are often used to check for Mycoplasma pneumoniae.

4. Other examinations: In addition, patients with mycoplasma infection can also undergo serological tests and PCR technology. The diagnostic results of serological examinations can be further confirmed by the determination of mycoplasma IgM antibodies in the serum, which is scientific and professional. The ordinary PCR technology can detect Chlamydia pneumoniae-specific DNA, which can be used to diagnose and treat the disease well.
