What is the difference between large liver cancer and small liver cancer? It has to do with size

How are liver cancers of different sizes distinguished? There are certain standards for the classification of liver cancer tumor sizes, which are reflected in large and small liver cancers. Although liver cancer itself grows rapidly in geometric multiples, it should and must go through a process from nothing to something, from small to large. Here, the concepts of large and small liver cancers formed by the different sizes of liver cancers are proposed.

This is because liver cancer often does not cause obvious discomfort during its early growth, so it is difficult for patients to detect it themselves. By the time they experience obvious discomfort or pain, the tumor has already grown very large. So, how big is considered a large liver cancer, and how small is considered a small liver cancer?

In medicine, liver cancer with a diameter of less than 5 cm is called small liver cancer, and liver cancer with a diameter of more than 5 cm is called large liver cancer. In addition, liver cancer with a diameter of less than 3 cm is called microliver cancer. If the sum of the diameters of two liver cancer tumors growing in the same liver lobe does not exceed 5 cm, they are also classified as small liver cancer.

The size of liver cancer reflects the early or late stage of the tumor course to a certain extent. Moreover, the surgical resection rate and treatment effect of small liver cancer are much higher and better than those of large liver cancer. Therefore, early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment of liver cancer play a vital role in improving the overall treatment effect of liver cancer.

Small liver cancer is relative to large liver cancer, and often has no obvious symptoms and signs. Generally, liver cancer with a single cancer nodule with a maximum diameter of no more than 3 cm, or a liver cancer with a sum of two cancer nodules with a diameter of no more than 3 cm, is called small liver cancer.

The size of liver cancer is a standard for early judgment of liver cancer patients within a certain period of time. Different standards require different treatment methods. Different treatment methods are the best way to treat according to symptoms.
