What are the early symptoms of high blood sugar

High blood sugar is what people often call hyperglycemia. Although high blood sugar does not necessarily mean diabetes, you still need to pay attention to regulating it. The early symptoms of high blood sugar are relatively obvious and can be manifested in many aspects of the body. Patients may experience some urinary symptoms.

1. Increased blood sugar and urine sugar can trigger osmotic diuresis, causing symptoms of polyuria; increased blood sugar and large amounts of water loss will increase blood osmotic pressure accordingly, and high blood osmotic pressure can stimulate the thirst center of the hypothalamus, causing symptoms of thirst and polydipsia; due to relative or absolute lack of insulin, glucose cannot be utilized in the body, and protein and fat consumption increase, causing fatigue and weight loss; in order to compensate for the lost sugar and maintain body activity, more food needs to be eaten; this forms the typical "three more and one less" symptom. The symptoms of polydipsia and polyuria in diabetic patients are directly proportional to the severity of the disease. In addition, it is worth noting that the more the patient eats, the higher the blood sugar, the more sugar is lost in the urine, and the more hungry he feels, ultimately leading to a vicious cycle. Therefore, in this case, it is better to eat less, but not less than 150 grams of staple food per day. However, if diabetes is not relieved and the patient's appetite suddenly decreases, attention should be paid to whether there is infection, ketosis and other complications.

2. Early symptoms of high blood sugar include difficulty in wound healing and repeated appearance of scabies on the skin after injury. The urinary and respiratory systems often suffer from infections and inflammations. Vision gradually deteriorates or becomes blurred, and periodontitis recurs repeatedly.

3. When blood sugar is higher than normal it is called hyperglycemia. If high blood sugar levels persist, it can cause damage to every part of the body. You may feel generally unwell, often with symptoms such as fatigue, thirst, drinking large amounts of water, and urinating a lot.
