Is late-stage cervical cancer contagious? What should I pay attention to in late-stage cervical cancer?

Is late-stage cervical cancer contagious? Many patients will ask this question. Here is a brief introduction to "Is late-stage cervical cancer contagious?"

Surveys show that advanced cervical cancer is contagious. Cervical cancer refers to malignant tumors that occur in the uterus, vagina, and cervical canal. The metastasis of cervical cancer can spread directly to adjacent tissues and organs, from the bottom to the vaginal vault and vaginal wall, from top to bottom to invade the uterine body, from both sides to the pelvic tissue, from the front to the bladder, and from the back to the rectum. It can also be transferred through lymphatic vessels to the paracervical, internal iliac, external iliac, and inguinal lymph nodes, and even to the clavicle and other lymph nodes throughout the body in the late stage. Blood metastasis is relatively rare, and common sites of metastasis are the lungs, liver, and bones. Three months after the onset of cervical cancer symptoms, two-thirds of patients have advanced cancer.

At present, medicine has confirmed that cervical cancer is mainly caused by external viral infection. For various cancers such as tonsil adenocarcinoma, oral cancer, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, lymphoma, etc., the internal genes are not the key factors of cancer, and most of them are caused by external viral infection. This cancer is both infected by the virus and contagious, so it can be vaccinated in advance.

Studies have confirmed that the incidence of cervical cancer is directly related to the incidence of HPV (Human papillomavirus), and it can also be prevented in advance through vaccination. Although the vaccine is still in the clinical trial stage, it has been proven that it can not only prevent cancer but also has therapeutic effects. It is expected to be available on the market in a few years.
